Alicia is a graduate of the Master of Science, Physiotherapy program at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario and is a member of the Orthopaedic and Sports Divisions of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. She has worked closely with clients of all ages including children, varsity athletes, and older adults. In 2023, she was honored as a Platinum winner of CommunityVotes for physiotherapists in Guelph, a testament to her commitment to providing compassionate care in the community.
As a Registered Physiotherapist, Alicia utilizes a wide range of treatment techniques including manual therapy and soft tissue release techniques, taping, physical modalities and tailored exercise programs. She continues to advance her skills through courses of the Orthopaedic Division Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal (AIM) Physiotherapy Program.
Alicia has a lifelong passion for dancing. She has completed her pre-professional ballet examinations through the Royal Academy of Dance and was a competitive dancer for 10+ years. Additionally, she has experience in rehabilitation research at Hamilton Health Science in dance and its effects on balance and gait in older adults. For that reason, Alicia understands first-hand the value of movement-based care and can empathize with the dedication it takes to achieving your health goals. She looks forward to helping you get back to the activities you enjoy.
