Carly was born and raised in Guelph. She has always had a desire to help people live their most optimal and authentic lives.
She began her post-secondary education at Western University, earning her Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences while captaining the women’s varsity hockey team and winning 2 OUA silver medals.
After graduating, she pursued her dream of playing hockey professionally by traveling to Switzerland for a season in the Swiss Women’s Hockey League, where she became the team’s first ever North American import. She then travelled to Australia where she would help their women’s team win the AWIHL championship.
Upon retuning to Canada, she decided to complete another post graduate program in Therapeutic Recreation. She worked at Grand River Hospital on a rehabilitation & recovery long-term care unit and an adult inpatient mental health unit. She also worked at Homewood Health Centre in an addiction medicine services unit. When Homewood opened another location on Vancouver Island, she transferred there to continue her role across PTSD, young and older adults, and addictions units.
Carly made the decision to again further her studies, and attended Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Toronto. Currently in her 4th and final year of the program and is working as an intern under the supervision of Dr. Jenny Elliott at Central Health Care.
